I’m interested in the Evans Hydraulic series for my kit. Is there any significance between colors?
Yes there is. Ply thickness is defined by color:
Black 6.5mil + 7.5mil
Red & Blue 7mil + 7mil
A thicker ply provides you with more durability, volume/body, decreased sensitivity, and increased attack. A thinner ply provides you with with less durability, volume, and attack, but an increase in sensitivity.
