Gibson 1979 J-200 Artist Sunburst Acoustic Guitar w/OHSC & K&K pickup hard case included!

Here's one we really wish you could come play in-store!      What a beautiful sound that you just don't get from a fresh-out-of-the box acoustic.    

Built in the USA and production number 41.    

This one has seen some gigs for sure!

It’s fresh off off a recent re fret! ($400) and with a new set of medium Elixer 80/20 Polywebs.

It’s set up with with a neck relief of .006 and a action height at the 12th fret of 3/32.

Replacement unslotted ebony pins. Originals are included but no longer fit. Tuners and pick guard are original.


Always played it in half step tuning with medium gauge strings, so will leave it as is for you to have it set up to your own liking.

The saddle and nut are both original. The nut slots had to be filled and recut due to the re fret. We will include a black tusq nut I have used on this guitar as well.

Also includes the original hard shell case. All the latches work and it’s sturdy. It matches what the guitar looks like if that makes sense.

The saddle is pretty low so if you want real real low action, a neck reset is in order.

It has a nice C shaped neck with 1 11/16 nut width.

All stable with what looked to be one repaired crack on the top sometime long ago. Very good strummer and a good rich bass!

It has a k and k pickup with volume control that just turns the pickup on and off.

Also installed is a Mitchell’s Plate Mate under the bridge plate, it doesn’t affect the pickup and I think it helps the sound. It’s removable if you wish to do so and bridge plate itself is in good shape.
